The rear bumper has a major change; it tucks the integrated tailpipes away to enhance the Volvo S60 sedan's overall sleekness.
The front air intakes will receive some sporty touches. From the photos we've seen, their proportions have been modified to work beautifully with the restyled bumper. Last but certainly not least, this facelifted 2023 Volvo sedan will offer new, aerodynamically-designed wheels, with a chiseled six-spoke style that stands out as thoroughly unique and thoroughly sporty.
Our 2022 Volvo S60 inventory offers three attractive trim levels. There's the premium Momentum trim, the sophisticated Inscription trim, and the dynamically sporty R-Design trim. With Momentum or R-Design trim levels, you can choose the Black Edition package to add a more powerful look.
For 2023, this trim-level lineup is expected to remain. But, what each level offers is expected to change. For starters, every 2023 Volvo S60 will provide the next level of advanced connectivity. Specifically, the Googleâ„¢ built in infotainment system seen on 2022 models like the Volvo XC90 will now be placed inside the Volvo S60 as a standard feature.
The Googleâ„¢ infotainment system seamlessly integrates high-tech services, including dynamic navigation, a personal assistant, and more. But, one of the most exciting parts is that this infotainment system unlocks over-the-air (OTA) update compatibility. What are OTA updates? Think of how your smartphone updates through wireless connectivity; your 2023 Volvo with OTA updates will do the same.
From enhanced driver-assist functions to optimized efficiency, the continuous work of Volvo engineers will be automatically downloaded to your 2023 Volvo S60, improving your driving experience as time passes.
With available luxuries like massaging front seats, a 15-speaker Hi-Fi Bowers & Wilkins® sound system, and much, much more, this 2023 Volvo sedan will be the luxurious, high-tech, high-performance chariot you deserve.
So, the question on everyone's mind is how much this updated Volvo S60 will cost. We're unsure of a specific price as of yet, but basing it on the 2022 Volvo S60 B5 FWD Momentum sedan's starting MSRP of $39,250,3we expect the 2023 model to carry a starting MSRP of around $40,000.4
Last year's Volvo S60 introduced advanced mild-hybrid technology to achieve new highs for fuel efficiency. The standard Volvo S60 B5 FWD delivered an astounding EPA-estimated 26/35 MPG (city/highway)1 as a result. Still, if you're looking to take both power and MPG figures to the extreme, the 2023 Volvo S60 Recharge has you covered.
It's the plug-in hybrid sedan that's well worth daydreaming about. Why? It makes up to a wicked 455 horsepower output and dashes from 0 to 60 mph in as low as 4.1 seconds, all while delivering up to an EPA-estimated 74 MPGe.2
For 2023, the Volvo S60 Recharge is expected to maintain its class-topping power and efficiency specs. But, that's not to say it won't receive any updates. Instead, this hybrid 2023 Volvo sedan will offer Tailored Wool Blend upholstery, combining responsible manufacturing with spectacular comfort. Additional features may join in as the 2023 Volvo S60 release date approaches.
While a specific date of arrival has not been confirmed by Volvo Cars, we expect most of the 2023 Volvo lineup (including the Volvo S60) to arrive sometime in late Summer 2022. When it does, we'll receive confirmation of several rumors that have been swirling around. One such rumor is that exclusive European-market powertrains on the 2023 Volvo S60 will use a rapid-fire seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. But, we're unsure if this transmission will join our market.
Stay tuned for more news on this premier 2023 Volvo sports sedan; it's almost here.
