2024 Volvo EX90 Safety

The Volvo EX90 electric SUV is redefining automotive safety. This new Volvo EV will feature a driver understanding system, occupant sensing, and intersection straight crossing path to meet their Zero Accident Vision and a new era of safety.

The driver understanding system is designed to detect if you are drowsy or distracted in the driver's seat and may need your vehicle to step in for support. Two interior sensors and a capacitive steering wheel continually monitor your habits to create an algorithm for assistance and communicate with the vehicle's exterior sensors.

If you travel with kids and pets, the occupant sensing system is designed to alert you if it appears you might be accidentally leaving someone behind. The vehicle's climate system can also step in to potentially help reduce the risk of heatstroke or hypothermia if a person or animal is locked in the car in a potentially dangerous scenario.

The intersection straight crossing path system uses radar to scan the road ahead and react to oncoming vehicles when turning left at an intersection. The system will also look ahead to scan for vehicles entering from parallel intersections or running red lights and can automatically apply the brake to slow the vehicle.
