What began as a Test drive turned into perhaps the BEST vehicle purchase experience yet thanks to some of the best in business. I was in the market to change my wife's vehicle after driving minivans for 18 yrs. due to our Large family. A full-time mother who decided to re-enter College life to better herself. After nearly completing her College degree and graduating with honors, her 1 wish was to drive a vehicle where she no longer felt like a soccer Mom, rather her own-individual-self, something she could call her own! If you ever felt this away, you would understand. I made it my mission to find her dream SUV and reward my so much deserving wife for years of sacrifice, dedication & example-hard work.... I passed this dealership on my way home every evening when I saw it! "I'll return tomorrow" I said. I decided to visit the dealership, where I encountered Mr. Fred Gates who was very welcoming and easy going.. Soon after test driving, I knew that I had found the vehicle for her! I proceeded with the purchase in which it was handled Eduardo in Finance, and then something I've not seeing in years happened. The General Manager, Mr. Kemick Larson came over and introduced himself and inquired about our experience, there were a few details in which he gladly assisted, we were taken back by his involvement to ensure the high-class of customer experience & satisfaction. A General manager who's this invested, obviously cares about his clients and his sales Team as well. I have to say, not often will anyone have such a dealership experience, but thanks to all their assistance, this Fulltime mother & college Student gets to finally enjoy something of her own ! I have never traveled to buy a car, so this was a new and relatively painless experience. The dealer picked me up at my hotel, upon arrival at the dealership, papers were signed and I was on the he road in less than two hours. Thanks

I bought a second hand Volvo, 2016 and we had some mechanical issues with it that was covered under the warranty and others like breaks that were not, during my 3 visits to the shop, I've been well taken care of. Ben has been our guy and was always prompt to help and answer all questions we had! THANK YOU SO MUCH BEN!

The worst. This is the second time I brought my S80 in for service. I dropped it off on Sat 12/17/2022. As of Wed 12/21/2022, I had not heard from the service department - no status, no update, no return call. I am just pulling the car out. The first time was the same - no return calls from any of the service advisers - Freddy, Warren, Mary Horton or even the service manager, Amy Clark. Car wasn’t fixed the first time. Second time is for the same exact reason. I have 4 Volvos. Too bad for me that this is the dealership closest to me. Old Charlotte Volvo was 10x better

I wish I had something good to say as I love my car, unfortunately when my car was sold to me I was convinced I purchased a package that covered my rims and now I have to pay $1,200 to replace a rim that has had an issue since when I bought it. Also the team at Johnson Volvo Charlotte does not seem to provide any assistance and basically I am out of luck after being assured the after market protection packages I purchased would cover anything.

6 hours ago NEW Beware of this dealership! My husband and I purchased a Certified 2019 Volvo XC60 in October. My husband took it in to have the brakes checked because they were grinding and make a noise whenever I was slowing down. Our appointment was 11:00. I called my husband at 2:30 to see what they found out about the car & he tells me that no one had even been out to speak to him in regards to the car. So I called and ask for the service manager (Amy Clark) & was transferred to her office but of course no answer so I left her a detail message for her to call me back because I was very upset that my husband had been sitting there for 3 1/2 hours and no one had even looked at my car or spoken to him. She never called me back. I called and spoke with the customer service representative and explained that I was upset and she told me should would look into it. About 20 minutes later my husband said that someone had come out to tell him that my back brakes and rotors needed to be replaced and then presented him with an over $800 estimate. This is where it gets really good. We just purchased the car in October and it’s supposedly a certified vehicle so there is NO WAY that Johnson Volvo Cars Charlotte looked over this car to certify it!!!! If they did that’s a whole other issue because had they did, they would have seen that the brakes and rotors needed replacing. This very dishonest that a reputable company such Volvo would be so dishonest about the level of service that they are providing to their customers! I am not happy with them at all. I called back to speak with ANY CLARK again yesterday and has yet to receive a phone from her. This will certainly be the very last time I purchase a car from Johnson Volvo Cars Charlotte. I definitely would advise anyone else not to buy a pre-owned vehicle from them either!!!! I will say that our sales representative (Fredrick) was awesome!
