6 hours ago NEW Beware of this dealership! My husband and I purchased a Certified 2019 Volvo XC60 in October. My husband took it in to have the brakes checked because they were grinding and make a noise whenever I was slowing down. Our appointment was 11:00. I called my husband at 2:30 to see what they found out about the car & he tells me that no one had even been out to speak to him in regards to the car. So I called and ask for the service manager (Amy Clark) & was transferred to her office but of course no answer so I left her a detail message for her to call me back because I was very upset that my husband had been sitting there for 3 1/2 hours and no one had even looked at my car or spoken to him. She never called me back. I called and spoke with the customer service representative and explained that I was upset and she told me should would look into it. About 20 minutes later my husband said that someone had come out to tell him that my back brakes and rotors needed to be replaced and then presented him with an over $800 estimate. This is where it gets really good. We just purchased the car in October and it’s supposedly a certified vehicle so there is NO WAY that Johnson Volvo Cars Charlotte looked over this car to certify it!!!! If they did that’s a whole other issue because had they did, they would have seen that the brakes and rotors needed replacing. This very dishonest that a reputable company such Volvo would be so dishonest about the level of service that they are providing to their customers! I am not happy with them at all. I called back to speak with ANY CLARK again yesterday and has yet to receive a phone from her. This will certainly be the very last time I purchase a car from Johnson Volvo Cars Charlotte. I definitely would advise anyone else not to buy a pre-owned vehicle from them either!!!! I will say that our sales representative (Fredrick) was awesome!

I found a used Volvo XC60 here for my new driving sons. It was a 2010 with only 90,000 miles on it!Possibly the cleanest 12 year old used car ever! Fair price and they were happy to let me take it to my mechanic to check it out. They did an oil change for me and serviced the car before we picked it up. My salesman,Steven, was very helpful and they accommodated me getting the paperwork done over my lunch hour. Within 2 weeks of owning the car, I got a call from my son that it died and he could not get it to start and the check engine light was on. I contacted my regular mechanic and planned to take the car to him. Just before I had it towed to my mechanic, I decided to call the dealership just in case they would do anything to help out. I honestly didn’t think they would since it’s a 12 year old used car. Boy was I wrong!! They had me bring the car to the dealership and replaced the coil kit and spark plugs and the car was ready to go……at NO COST TO ME!!! Thanks Warren and everyone at Johnson Volvo! It’s so nice to see a company providing such great customer service!! They run their business like I run mine and I have so much respect for that! So many businesses could learn from you! THANK YOU AGAIN!

Super professional and friendly staff! Everyone makes you feel like family, especially Fredrick Gates! Fredrick is my family and I’s personal favorite in sales! We have bought ALL our vehicles from him and will always continue to do so! My dad met Fredrick when he bought me my first s60 in high school so it was only fitting for me to return now to have him find me the most perfect xc60 for my first Volvo purchase on my own! Johnson Volvo set the bar across the board for a perfect customer experience. I purchased a 2022 Volvo XC60 and had a few issues. The GM (Mr. Mayhall) was responsive and resolved all my issues and addressed my concerns in a timely manner. Very happy with the purchase of my car! Also, my salesperson (Mr. Gates) was responsive, extremely knowledgeable, not only about the vehicle itself, but in walking me through the entire process. If your interested in a Volvo, I would recommend this dealership.

The staff, especially John Vena is a TOP Class act! Very helpful, takes his time to explain every detail with no pressure. Great relationship seller and can’t imagine having bought my first Volvo XC60 without him. Finance was the easiest quickest process in my 27years buying new cars. Ask for John-you’ll thank me.

Ben and the service manager at Volvo of Charlotte went to bat for me and were able to intercede with Volvo for a premature failure of my LED headlamps. The wait was comfortable and brief. I drove off with my XC60 back in perfect order. Service was attentive and follow through excellent.

An automotive dealership shows its true colors when you don't buy a car, and I have to - HAVE TO - commend the folks at Volvo of Charlotte for being as friendly and helpful as can be when my husband and I were car shopping this week. John is a fantastic sales rep, put us at ease completely and did everything we asked and more. We simply decided to delay buying a new car for a few months. Because John and Volvo of Charlotte were so helpful and understanding, we are definitely returning to get that Volvo XC60 we want. Customer service is everything.

I was lucky to have had John Vena assigned to me the day I walked in to Volvo Of Charlotte. John was incredible, he listen to what I was asking for and how I liked my car purchase experience to be handled and was spot on / exceptional. We traded a Grand Cherokee Summit 5.7L HEMI which I thought may be an issue because there is nothing like American V8 Muscle but I must say the 2.0L Turbo T5 delivers very well and we both couldn’t be happier. We leased an XC60 (for my wife) and purchased an S60 T5 R-Design (for me) and the process was smooth, painless, and expedient. Our salesman (Alton Crawford) went out of his way to accommodate our requests and was extremely helpful in narrowing down the best choices for us. In addition, he answered all of our questions along the way and had the vehicles ready on time after our selections. Alton was very thorough in helping us "set up" the vehicles and connecting our smart devices and apps for both vehicles. Both my wife and I love the look, design, technology features, and most importantly safety that comes with the Volvo name. Had a great experience at Volvo Charlotte. Saw a CPO XC60 on the website and spoke to Sam on the phone prior to seeing the car in person. Sam knew all the details about the car and answered all my questions so I knew the 90 minute drive to Charlotte would be worth my time. In person, the car was impeccably clean and seemed brand new. Sam walked us through all the features and made sure we understood how they worked. We were offered a great price on the car and a fair value for our trade in. The financing process was quick and easy. After purchasing the vehicle, Sam spent another hour with us to personalize all the cars options to suit our needs. The entire buying process was simple, informative, and we never felt any pressure by anyone at Volvo Charlotte. All the advice we received from the sales and finance teams was honest and beneficial- it truly felt like they were looking out for our best interests rather than trying to make a sale. Ended up at Volvo of Charlotte after a not so pleasant experience at a BMW dealership in Charlotte. I was only there to see if they had a comparable SUV to the X5. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by an exceptionally pleasant man named Gary Shaw. I was upfront about why I was there and he offered to just let me take a look at any car I wanted. I sat in a few cars but was still undecided. A day later I called Gary to see if I could come over for a test drive at a specific time b/c I was in between conference calls. When I arrived, the car was out front waiting me and so was Gary. I couldn’t have asked for better service that day or the day I came back to actually purchase my XC60! If you need a car I highly recommend talking with Gary. The entire process was scheduled and Volvo Charlotte’s staff honored my time.
